How to Get Into The Sift on Minecraft Bedrock

Short answer

There is no publicly documented official vanilla Bedrock entrance yet. Xbox Wire says The Sift is planned for Minecraft in 2027 and that Mojang is not sharing much about how players will access it. A portal recipe copied from a community add-on is not an official Bedrock instruction.

Choose the route that matches your goal

I want the official playable experience now

Play Minecraft Dungeons II, where The Sift was introduced on September 29, 2026. This is the official route currently described by Xbox Wire. It is a separate experience from today's vanilla Minecraft Bedrock worlds.

I want to test a Bedrock add-on

Use the author's project page and follow its package instructions. Two current CurseForge projects are easy to confuse:

• trotamundos872 lists separate resource-pack and behavior-pack .mcpack files for Bedrock 26.50.
• Korvvvik lists a separate .mcpack project for Bedrock 26.50.

Back up your world first, verify the game version, and keep the add-on name attached to any portal or command instruction. Do not combine files from different authors.

I want the Java community mod

Mielon's Java mod has its own Ancient City portal sequence and loader requirements. That sequence belongs to the Java mod; it is not a Bedrock or vanilla recipe.

What not to do

• Do not use /thesift or a Note Block sequence in an unmodified vanilla Bedrock world and expect it to work.
• Do not install a Java .jar as a Bedrock .mcpack.
• Do not treat a community portal screenshot as proof that Mojang has released the 2027 vanilla dimension.
