Sift Armor in Minecraft: What the Mod Actually Adds
See what Siftite armor means in Mielon's The Sift mod, how it relates to Netherite, and why it is not an official vanilla Minecraft feature.
Sift Armor in Minecraft
Searches for Sift armor and Siftite armor are currently mixing official The Sift coverage with community mod implementations. The armor described on this page belongs to Mielon's The Sift, a community project on CurseForge. It is not the official vanilla release.
What “Sift armor” refers to
Mielon's project calls its armor set Siftite armor. The author describes it as a full armor set made from Siftite and says it keeps Netherite-level defense and toughness while adding increased knockback resistance. The project page also says Siftite equipment is fire resistant.
Scope check
The official announcement confirms The Sift for Minecraft Dungeons II and a planned Java and Bedrock release in 2027, but it does not publish a vanilla armor set or crafting recipe. Do not carry the Siftite details from this mod into vanilla Minecraft or Dungeons II.

What this page does not establish
The listed sources do not establish a vanilla Sift armor set, exact armor points, durability values, drop rates, or a release date for an official recipe. Check the mod's current file, loader, and version before installing or discussing its mechanics.
