The Sift Mobs: Official Scope vs Mielon Mod Creatures
Compare the confirmed official scope of The Sift with the named mobs documented by Mielon's Minecraft community mod.
The Sift Mobs
The phrase The Sift mobs combines two different evidence sets. The official Xbox Wire announcement confirms that Dungeons II has new mobs, companions, threats, and new rules, but it does not publish a complete mob catalog. Mielon's community mod names its own creatures in detail. Those mod names are not the official vanilla release.
Mielon's documented creatures
| Creature | Mod-scoped description |
|---|---|
| Singer | Connected to the Ancient City portal and Soul Blocks. |
| Echo Golem | Searches Soul Canyons for Soul Blocks; an Echo Shard can bond one to a player. |
| Blub | A neutral rabbit-like mob attracted to Soul Blocks; it can be tamed in the mod. |
| Sifter | A fast predator found especially in Overgrown Forests. |
| Dark Sniffer | A hostile Sniffer transformation that can dig up Sculkflower Seeds. |
Why the distinction matters
These names and behaviors come from Mielon's interpretation of The Sift. They should not be presented as the final vanilla Java/Bedrock mob list. The official source confirms the future release window, not every creature, drop, or behavior.
